Responsibilities:
Responsible for leading the art/design team to create all sales materials for ad sales globally
Re-organize and lead a newly integrated print and digital art/design department that serves the ad sales marketing team globally.
Create a new look—in coordination with consumer marketing—for the brand for ad sales marketing purposes and execute it with consistency across the franchise globally
Develop capabilities in the department to create innovative sales tools that position the Journal franchise as the leaders in how we communicate with the advertising community
Lead a team that creates top quality work, and always with a firm handle on negotiating for best possible rates
Requirements:
6-10 years of sales development & marketing experience in a related industry - i.e. newspaper/magazine publishing, online, planning department of media agency, etc.
Knowledge of print and online advertising sales, marketing, event and related research
Organizational skills with the ability to manage projects and programs
Proactive team player with strong relationship builder
Bachelor’s degree required
