Dow Jones' Ad Sales IT team is seeking a Developer for Digital Ad Sales systems, including order booking (Dashboard / OperativeOne), billing (XCRM), yield management (YieldEx), ad servers (Google DART, Admarvel) and CRM (Salesforce) systems. In this role, the candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting the Digital Ad Sales systems, and ensuring applications-related quality, performance, availability, scalability, and integrity. The primary responsibilities for this role include the following: Implementation of full project life cycle for any new development; Requirements gathering for any new projects or enhancements from business teams; Design of solution for requirements; Resource allocation and project planning; Development and coordination of resources to design and implement the requirements within project schedules and budgets; Unit Testing, Integration Testing and Configuration management to ensure quality code is deployed to Production; Deployment and rollout support; Implement new applications and automations to streamline digital ad sales workflow; Coordination with vendors to implement new digital projects and enhancements; Production support for Digital Ad Sales applications; Ensure the feeds from and to Digital Ad Sales systems are executed daily; Backup support for print applications such as Adbase, E2 and reporting.
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, plus five years of experience as a key developer or technical lead. Must have 3 years working with Ad Sales systems, including order booking (Dashboard / OperativeOne), billing (XCRM), yield management (YieldEx), ad servers (Google DART, Admarvel) and CRM (Salesforce) systems. Must have technical expertise in key technologies, including SQL/PLSQL, Data Warehouse, Shell scripting, JAVA/J2EE, Oracle Forms, Reports, XML/XSL. Must have an understanding of the business components and drivers of Digital Ad Sales systems, and effective communication with business partners (Ad Operations, Sales, Finance, Strategy). Must have experience with and understanding of software development life cycle methodologies.
35 hours/week. Must also have authority to work permanently in the U.S.
