| PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT BUSINESS ANALYST Location New York NY (Midtown) Position Overview FolioDynamix is in search of a dynamic organized and driven individual to join our team as a Business Analyst within the Product Development group The role will focus on translating client and internal requirements into product enhancements for a client wealth management platform To accomplish this the candidate must have a deep understanding of client and market needs and the ability to articulate specifications to the Development and QA teams This role will have significant and frequent exposure to both internal senior leadership and the firmrsquos clients The position requires the ability to balance client expectations clearly define the development scope and keep the project scope in alignment with the overall platform vision This position reports to the Vice President of Product Development Essential Functions Work directly with clients subject matter experts Development QA and senior management to translate and articulate development plans into a formal functional requirements document Produce business scope documentation Analyze XML and flat file messages Work with on and offshore team members to explain and document requirements Conduct user testing to ensure satisfaction of development requirements Participate in client and prospect meetings to provide insight and guidance Conduct product demonstrations Write product release notes Education and Work Experience Required Minimum Bachelorrsquos degree or equivalent work experience in finance or computer science Minimum of 3+ years work experience in financial services or wealth management technology Knowledge Abilities and Skills Exceptional business systems analysis and technical writing skills Ability to thoroughly understand business requirements define solutions and specify functional requirements for use by the software development team Ability to combine multiple client requests and requirements into creative solutions in alignment with the overall platform roadmap Understanding of the software development lifecycle Testingconfiguration experience basic understanding of database structure and SQL Ability to work in a fast paced projectoriented environment and meet deadlines under tight time constraints Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment Excellent communication skills both in verbal and written formats Must have the ability to interface with staff management and clients Industry Specific Knowledge Must have work experience with retail andor institutional investment trading platforms Must have work experience at a program sponsor ideally a brokerdealer registered investment advisor custodian or bank Deep understanding of wealth management feebased programs Trust Rep as Manager Mutual Fund Wrap Rep as Advisor and Retail Brokerage account types Indepth knowledge of brokeradvisor workflows for discretionary and nondiscretionary investment account management Indepth knowledge and prior work history with options fixed income and short trading andor portfolio performance reporting Company Overview Bringing innovation insight and agility to the wealth management and investment advisor communities FolioDynamix offers the most comprehensive webbased technology platform for managing the full wealth advisory lifecycle ndash including proposal and onboarding research model management portfolio accounting trade order management operations reporting and performance analytics ndash across all account types The companyrsquos technology platform FDx SingleSight is completely developed hosted and supported by FolioDynamix Visit wwwfoliodynamixcom httpwwwfoliodynamixcom This position requires occasional overtime weekend work Ability to travel (approximately 15) required Compensation Consistent with experience including a comprehensive benefits package Interested candidates should submit a cover letter and resume to careersfoliodxcom mailtocareersfoliodxcom Indicate BA 1204 In the subject line of your response Only those candidates whose qualifications meet our requirements will be contacted Principals only No phone calls please |
