Condé Nast Names Brand Development Executive

Condé Nast hired former Lancôme USA executive Gillian Gorman Round to fill the newly created role of senior vice president of brand development, Adweek reported.

Her entrance follows the hiring of several new executives and the shuffling of several existing ones.

Round will work across Condé Nast's various departments to help grow membership programs, video offerings, and revenue from e-commerce, among other areas of business.

"Her expertise in aligning consumer offerings with market positioning and business strategy is a great fit for our corporate vision," Condé Nast president Bob Sauerberg told Adweek in a written statement.

Round's hire reflects the ongoing shift of power at Condé Nast from its individual brands, such as Vanity Fair and the New Yorker, to a more centralized management system within the company's corporate suite.
