DDB Chicago has named Jonathan Sackett from The Martin Agency chief digital officer, a newly created position at the company. He will report directly to both DDB's chairman, Dick Rogers, and president, Mark O'Brien.
Sackett, 41, will be responsible for recruiting digital talent to the agency and leading digital communications planning and business development for new clients.
Sackett was also CDO at Richmond, Va.-based The Martin Agency, where he worked with clients like Wal-Mart, UPS, Tylenol and Pizza Hut.
In addition to the CDO role, Sackett will also act as managing director, where he will also be responsible for account management, according to a spokesperson.
"We share the same vision for DDB and the type of ideas we want to be famous for," said Ewan Paterson, chief creative officer at the agency, in a statement.
