CHG Healthcare, one of the largest healthcare staffing services providers in the country, is on a major recruiting drive for salespeople.
The company, which is headquartered in Salt Lake City but does business nationwide, is hiring for 350 salespeople, according to Lisa Kelly, its director for talent acquisition.
About 200 of the new hires will be based in Salt Lake, while the other 150 will be spread out over its other offices in Florida, Michigan, North Carolina and Connecticut.
Kelly said that the 350 new staffers will be working across CHG's four major brands: CompHealth, RN Network, Weatherby Locums and Foundation Medical Staffing. All help place healthcare professionals, like physicians, nurses and allied medical professionals, in temporary and permanent positions.
On average, the company, which Kelly calls a "total sales organization," tends to hire salespeople with between two and five years of experience, especially in inside sales. Most of the work is done over the phone, and prior healthcare sales experience is not necessary.
There are opportunities available across all levels, from senior- to entry-level positions.
According to Kelly, compensation is commensurate with experience. All sales staff, no matter what office they are placed at, are brought out to Utah for a week of foundational training, where they learn about healthcare staffing and sales techniques.
The company was ranked 26th on Fortune's 100 Best Companies to Work For this year. It currently employs 1,100 people in seven offices nationwide.
