Liberty Mutual is making good on its promise to hire in Boston. The insurance firm broke ground this week on a $300-million-dollar expansion of its Boston headquarters and will be hiring to fill its halls. The firm will add 600 new jobs in Boston; 400 will be added by the end of 2016. It's also moving existing employees into the new building.
According to spokesman John Cusolito, the firm has added 600 employees in Massachusetts since 2008, 300 of which filtered to Boston. Hiring for the additional 600 has already begun, he added.
The company is also expecting growth in Chicago, Charlotte, Seattle, Philadelphia and Dallas.
